Generator repair · Vidor, Orange & Beaumont, TX

Generator acting up? Let's get it running.

Won't start. Starts and quits. Red light on. Weird noise. Missed its weekly exercise. We've seen it, and most of the time it's something simple like a battery, a dirty filter, an old spark plug, or a setting that got bumped.

Answer a couple quick questions, or skip straight to picking a time. Your phone fills in your info for you, so it takes about five minutes. No pressure and no sales pitch. We'll tell you what's wrong and what it costs before we touch anything.

Common reasons a generator won't start

  • Dead or weak battery. It's the #1 cause, especially after 3 years.
  • Low oil or an oil-pressure shutdown.
  • Clogged air filter or a worn spark plug.
  • Gas supply issue: a valve turned off, or a regulator problem.
  • The controller is set to OFF or MANUAL instead of AUTO.
  • A tripped breaker on the generator itself.

Quick check before you call: make sure the controller is set to AUTO and the generator's main breaker is ON. If it still won't go, book us. Don't take the panel apart.

Keep it from happening again
